Thanks to innovative modern innovations, we are proud to introduce the ability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a brand-new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

First, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a unique camera established just for this function.

Step two, the brand-new software assesses the whole image and uses the results to determine a variety of exceptional restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are assessed and fine-tuned by the dentist and the final restoration plan is selected.

Step three your brand-new crown is milled by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

If you want to know more about the same day crown procedure, call our office and we would be happy to assist you.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Topic Is:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous approaches: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and practical bleaching process. The appointment is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients love this treatment since it is so simple and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
