Our practice likes new technology, especially when it improves the dental care that we can offer to our patients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a remarkable brand-new innovation where lovely all porcelain crowns are developed within two hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown built. Throughout this time the client would have to have a short-term plastic crown that was always uncomfortable.

Today, our devices allows us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the client leaves our office with the permanent crown that day!

  • There's no need to wear a temporary crown for two to three weeks.

  • There's no need to return again to have the single visit crown placed on your tooth.

  • There's no need to be numbed up once again! No more shot needles!

Our practice prefers same day crowns since it is made of gorgeous material and also exceptionally durable.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Topic Is About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Finding issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to detect:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the physician to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
