How Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new innovation it allows dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous trips to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can take pleasure in a fantastic, natural looking, and resilient solution for your missing or broken teeth today.

Initially, your dentist will meet with you to talk about the details of the treatment. Throughout the treatment, the dentist will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take a photo of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the picture functions as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to produce your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

Today Were Talking About:

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal therapy. When this happens, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very painful. Symptoms that the pulp has ended up being infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no symptoms appear and the person is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any additional infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
