What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over conventional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single appointment, you just need to see the dental practitioner once, take one day away from your work to have the procedure, instead of the normal two or three visits.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, since the entire procedure can be performed within an hour you only need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist is in complete control of the final result, because the crown or inlay are designed and produced from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have total control over how it will look and fit.

  • No short-term restorations, which can frequently fall off in between visits if they are not cared for appropriately.

Dental Dentures

There are various kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a decision is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular performance and look return and one just carries on as usual. Typically implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social circumstances, and even your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will often feel better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
