Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Dental Dentures

There are different kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a decision is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular performance and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Commonly implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-confidence.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper complete denture will usually feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
