Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays a crucial role in our practice. This amazing development in chair side dentistry provides us the tools to develop, produce, and position crowns, inlays and onlays in a single visit.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The traditional method to a crown or inlay and onlay often needed a return visit after the client waited (with a temporary restoration in the tooth) for about two weeks while the restoration was produced in a different lab. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a special camera to take an accurate image of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is moved and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to design the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and immediately mills the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire procedure takes about one hour, and there are no bothersome temporaries or second appointment required!

Proven Technology

With two decades of scientific research study and more than 20 million restorations carried out worldwide, same day crowns have proven to be a an efficient, safe and convenient technology that we are delighted to offer to our patients.

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of everyday use. Three various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient whitening procedure. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
