One Visit Crowns

Crowns have long been an efficient restorative dentistry option for dental practitioners to take advantage of, but the standard crown procedure takes 2 to 3 visits to complete.

At our practice, though, our dental practitioners and our team can restore broken down teeth in just a single appointment with same-day crowns. Same day crowns use sophisticated technology making the crown preparation process much easier, while the same day crown device actually mills restorations itself using the information we've already collected to produce the custom-made restoration you require.

The milling procedure takes about an hour to complete and can be done while you rest comfortably in our office.

Our restorative dentistry team prepared to revitalize your smile and better your lifestyle. Using any of these restorative dentistry services alone or in combination with each other or another service, we are ready to help you to achieve optimum dental health. Please make an appointment to our office today.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Topic Is:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and discover issues early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be harmed to the point it needs root canal therapy. As soon as this occurs, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and may be really agonizing. Signs that the pulp has actually become infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any problem up until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. As soon as the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is recommended for recovering a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
