Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays a vital role in our practice. This amazing development in chair side dentistry provides us the tools to develop, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The conventional method to a crown or inlay and onlay typically needed a return appointment after the client waited (with a temporary restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a different laboratory. Same day crown CAD/CAM technology eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns use a unique camera to take an accurate picture of the broken tooth. This optical impression is moved and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and immediately mills the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire process takes about one hour, and there are no irritating temporaries or second appointment required!

Proven Technology

With 20 years of medical research and more than 20 million restorations performed worldwide, same day crowns have proven to be a an reliable, safe and hassle-free innovation that we are delighted to offer to our clients.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Ultrasonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners develop tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and eliminating plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling often uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits and after that polished.
