Porcelain Teeth Veneers
Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.
Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
Just like the majority of dental restorations, veneers might one day require replacement; however, they are still really long lasting and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.
How Are Veneers Placed?
Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.
The direct strategy usually involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is typically referred to as bonding.
The indirect technique generally involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.
The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.
You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
