Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your treatment and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that enables ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be performed in one visit instead of two. The computer collaborates with a digital camera permitting the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom-made crown right away so that we can cement your new crown that same day. The outcomes we see are amazing. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are exceptional.

Today's Topic Is About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth considerably. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous techniques: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and hassle-free bleaching procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment because it is so easy and fast!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
