Why Choose Single Visit Dental Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of single day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new innovation restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are made out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and tougher because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to contact our office today. We will answer any questions you have and you can make an appointment to talk to our dentist in person.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
