Why Choose Single Visit Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of same day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and carefully match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are made out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has been broken or become stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive ways instead of through a more pricey dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
