Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over standard, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single visit, you just have to see the dental practitioner one time, take one day from your schedule to have the procedure, instead of the usual two or 3 visits.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, since the entire treatment can be performed within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist remains in complete control of the final result, because the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have overall control over how it will look and fit.

  • No short-term restorations, which can typically fall off in between visits if they are not cared for properly.

Today Were Talking About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Finding problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to detect:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a huge format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send out and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
