What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over conventional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single visit, you just need to visit the dentist once, take one day away from your routine to have the treatment, instead of the usual 2 or 3 visits.

  • Only one set of local, because the whole treatment can be carried out within an hour you only have to have one injection.

  • Your dentist remains in complete control of the outcome, because the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dentist, they have overall control over how it will look and fit.

  • No temporary restorations, which can typically fall off in between appointments if they are not cared for appropriately.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the physician to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
