Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an essential function in our practice. This remarkable development in chair side dentistry gives us the tools to create, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single visit.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The traditional method to a crown or inlay and onlay often needed a return appointment after the client waited (with a temporary restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was manufactured in a separate laboratory. Same day crown CAD/CAM technology eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns employ a special camera to take an precise picture of the broken tooth. This optical impression is moved and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner utilizes CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and immediately mills the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the brand-new restoration is bonded in place.

The whole process takes about one hour, and there are no irritating temporaries or 2nd visit needed!

Proven Technology

With two decades of medical research study and more than 20 million restorations performed worldwide, same day crowns have actually shown to be a an effective, safe and hassle-free innovation that we are delighted to provide to our patients.

Today Were Discussing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Finding issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
