Same Day Crowns At Your Local Family Dentist

Same Day Crowns technology has changed how dental treatments will be done forever. If crowns, onlays, inlays or dental veneers were required to restore broken teeth, it used to imply numerous visits, a lot of hassle, and frequently a lot of money.

This brand-new technology makes these ceramic restorations within minutes in the dental office. It is made of a number of computer-assisted design (CAD) tools and a milling machine that produces customized ceramic restorative devices. It also can make nearly any ceramic restoration to order, meaning the dental practitioner can place it instantly. This is of excellent benefit to a worried client, and it can also lower the expense of treatment.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect problems early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal therapy. As soon as this takes place, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it must be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be really agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has actually become infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no symptoms appear and the individual is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has actually had root canal therapy.
