Why Choose One Day Dental Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which eliminates significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and carefully match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please do not hesitate to call our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to talk with our dentist personally.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive means rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
