Why You Should Opt For Single Visit Dental Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of using same day crown over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, eliminating significant potential pain.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard approach of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay lovely for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown product and innovation can also be used for fillings. Given that these fillings are constructed of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Fillings

Fillings are done to eliminate decay, and replace the affected tooth structure. It is called a filling because brand-new material fills the hole that the decay left. Now days most teeth are treated with bonded tooth colored composite resin fillings. Caught early enough, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If not treated, decay can result in tooth discomfort and/or infection, and the tooth would need a root canal treatment or extraction.

There are 2 types of fillings; amalgam or silver fillings, and composite or white fillings. Composite fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. Most dentists provide both types of fillings, but find that a lot of their patients like the composite fillings.

The term composite refers to the actual filling material which is a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium.

Composite fillings offer good sturdiness and resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that have to stand up to moderate chewing pressure. Less tooth structure is eliminated when the dentist prepares the tooth, and this might lead to a smaller sized filling than with of an amalgam.

In addition, composites are "bonded", or adhesively attached, to the tooth, frequently enabling a more conservative repair for the tooth. Composite fillings require that the tooth be kept clean and dry during the whole filling process and they are subject to stain and discoloration with time. The life span of a white filling can depend significantly on where it is in your mouth and how heavily your teeth come together when you bite.

Composite filling material is also typically utilized to repair front teeth that have cracked or worn. Where possible, esthetic bonding of composite material to front teeth is generally much more economical than veneers or crowns. However, bonding generally does not last as long as veneers or crowns.
