What's So Special About Same Day Crowns?

In a common dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and often an unpleasant process that can take several weeks to complete. However, our practice uses same day crown technology, which allows us to scan, design, and mill gorgeous tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Picture coming into our dental office to get a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, resilient, and visually pleasing crown already in place. Call us today to find out more!

The Single Visit Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dentist will talk about the details of the treatment and your dental practitioner will address any questions you might have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Topic For Today Is:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is analyzed and a determination is made about which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Often implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is necessary to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social circumstances, and even your self-esteem.

A Couple Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper full denture will almost always feel better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we regularly suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for numerous years.
