Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology allows your dental practitioner to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide unparalleled convenience, value, and accuracy to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes three fundamental steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take highly accurate images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which creates the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth preparation and protect more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns need 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a perfectly fixed tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and potential risks associated with ill-fitting short-term crowns.

The Conversation For Today Will Be:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of a lot of patients, there are a number of methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of daily use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and practical lightening procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so simple and fast!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
