  • Everything is carried out in a single visit, you only need to see the dental practitioner once, take one day from your schedule to have the procedure, instead of the normal 2 or three appointments.

  • Only one set of local, since the whole treatment can be carried out within an hour you just need to have one injection.

Today Were Discussing:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth considerably. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of techniques: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical bleaching process. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays should be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
