If You Require A Crown This Is The Best Route To Go

Getting a crown has long been known to be a two-visit dental experience. Lots of people have no idea that this is not the case with same day crowns. For our lucky patients, getting a crown just takes one visit!

The Old Fashion 2 Visit Way

At the first appointment, impressions are taken of the tooth and the impression is sent out to a lab so that your permanent crown can be made. Many people dislike the goopy impression materials that can make them gag which takes up to 5 minutes in their mouth to set.

Then your tooth is shaved down so that your crown can be placed on top of it. Then you get a temporary crown cemented over the shaved tooth to hold you over till your long-term crown shows up from the lab. Then later, you need to go back to the dentist, have the short-term crown removed and the brand-new crown put on your tooth

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Ultrasonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for the majority of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microorganisms and getting rid of plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning ideal to those with sensitive teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and after that polished.
