Why Opt For Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of using same day crown over standard crown innovation.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, eliminating substantial possible pain.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard approach of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay lovely for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings.

Today's Discussion Is About:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a badly damaged joint.
