Today We Will Be Going Over:

Dental Dentures

There are various kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a decision is made about which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular capability and appearance return and one simply carries on as usual. Typically implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you have the ability to eat, your self-confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-esteem.

A Few Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will almost always feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially improve comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for a number of years.
