What Are Same Day Crowns?

Same day crowns are a new innovation that a dental practitioner can financially restore damaged teeth in a single consultation using a premium ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth.

How Does It Work?

Same day crowns use a CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) innovation, incorporating a camera, computer and a milling machine in one instrument. The dental practitioner uses a special camera to take an accurate photo of the broken tooth. This optical impression is downloaded and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD innovation to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and immediately develops the restoration while the client waits. Finally, the dental practitioner bonds the new restoration to the surface area of the old tooth. The whole process takes about one hour.

What Does This Technology Mean For A Patient?

A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural-looking, compatible with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. Dental practitioners no longer have to create temporaries or take impressions and send them to a lab. Because of this, the standard 2nd visit has been eliminated. This brand-new innovation has over a decade of medical research and documentation to support it. The restorations have been proven accurate, safe and reliable.

A Gorgeous Smile!

A lovely smile is one of your biggest possessions - a reflection of happiness and good health.

Thanks to recent developments in dentistry, getting the smile you always imagined is much easier - and faster than ever.

We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Subject Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Detecting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the physician to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
