Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this new technology it enables dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can fabricate natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can take pleasure in a fantastic, natural looking, and resilient option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

Initially, your dentist will consult with you to talk about the information of the treatment. During the procedure, the dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the image works as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Because tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of approaches: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is recommended for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and convenient lightening process. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
