Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental treatment that will cause you to need a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to fear the time you will need to invest at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we provide a terrific time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we integrate state-of-the-art innovations and treatments to provide our clients with the very best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are really delighted to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are two various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is normally made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a badly stained tooth that needs to be brought back to its original, appealing look.

Generally getting a dental crown is a prolonged procedure. The dentist will have to take impressions, offer you with a temporary crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a laboratory, and then have you return to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice clients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are produced in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and eliminate any need to send out impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to come back for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a short-term crown, because our permanent crown will be immediately offered to you.

If you want to meet our dentist for more information about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, contact our practice.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers might at some point need replacement; however, they are still really long lasting and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy generally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method typically involves 2 visits because the veneers will be made at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is typically less unpleasant. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
