Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology permits your dental practitioner to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process includes 3 fundamental steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take highly precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dentist will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable strength, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a wonderfully fixed tooth.

You can prevent the trouble and potential threats connected with uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Is:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is usually made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and function as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability since they fuse to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfy than traditional alternatives. Prospects for dental implants should have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has multiple advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the patient who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not need to be taken out all the time.
