Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the nearby teeth, so they can not be detected by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never ever be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are an extremely exciting offering of our practice. We are able to have you with a beautiful new smile in just one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dental practitioners to provide you with crowns in just a little portion of the time that was required before.

CAD/CAM innovation is exactly what makes this interesting advancement possible. The acronym represents computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional appointment to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have far more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you have to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, then send out the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the specific specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking appeal. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you require a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company event, this process may undoubtedly be ideal for you. If you are interested in learning more about this process, contact us today for a consultation.

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and discover issues early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal therapy. When this takes place, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and may be extremely agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has actually become infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, pain, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no symptoms appear and the person is unaware of any problem until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. Once the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is recommended for bring back a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
