When you do not have enough hours in the day our new same day crown innovation allows for single appointment restorations. Fillings, crowns or veneers - with same day crowns, there's no need for a short-term and return visits. The entire procedure is carried out in one appointment - leaving more time for whatever's important to you.

Technology today is changing our everyday lives. Many individuals, however, aren't aware that innovation also is impacting dentistry in new and amazing ways. Innovative innovations in dental instruments are needing less time in the dental chair, causing less pain and producing satisfying results. One development in innovation, allows dentists to rapidly restore broken teeth with natural-colored ceramic fillings, conserving patients time and inconvenience.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

Today We Will Be Reviewing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Identifying problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a huge format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
