Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology enables your dentist to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns offer exceptional convenience, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process includes three fundamental steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take highly precise photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which develops the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will put it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable toughness, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth preparation and maintain more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns require two office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a magnificently fixed tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and possible risks related to ill-fitting short-term crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain circumstances where a tooth has been damaged or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable methods instead of through a more costly dental procedure.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
