What Are Single Day Dental Crowns?

It is a technology for restoring broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to our office. It makes your teeth tougher and more beautiful - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material and is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the treatment and your dentist will answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new exclusive software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple ways to bleach teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth considerably. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient bleaching procedure. The appointment is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
