One Visit Crowns

Crowns have long been an efficient restorative dentistry option for dental practitioners to benefit from, but the standard crown process takes two to three appointments to finish.

At our practice, though, our dental practitioners and our team can fix broken down teeth in simply a single appointment with same-day crowns. Same day crowns use advanced technology to make the crown preparation procedure much easier, while the same day crown machine actually mills restorations itself using the information we've already gathered to develop the tailor-made restoration you need.

The milling procedure takes about an hour to complete and can be done while you rest comfortably in our office.

Our restorative dentistry team prepared to rejuvenate your smile and transform your lifestyle. Using any of these restorative dentistry services alone or in combination with each other or another service, we are ready to assist you to accomplish maximum dental health. Please make an appointment to our office today.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Subject Is:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a severely damaged joint.
