Same Day Crowns - A Smart Innovation

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most advanced dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The very first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary as well as a 2nd appointment.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

The Discussion Of The Day Will Be:

Dental Dentures

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a determination is made regarding which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal functionality and look return and one just continues as usual. Often implants can be utilized to further support the dentures.

It is necessary to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social scenarios, and even your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will usually feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
