Our practice loves new innovations, specifically when it improves the dental care that we can provide to our clients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a remarkable brand-new technology where beautiful all porcelain crowns are developed within 2 hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown constructed. During this time the patient would have to have a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfortable.

Today, our devices enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the patient leaves our practice with the permanent crown that day!

  • There is no need to wear a temporary crown for two or three weeks.

  • There's no need to return once more to have the single visit crown inserted on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed again! No more shot needles!

Our office chooses same day crowns because it is made of stunning material and also very durable.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our office a call.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable methods rather than through a more costly dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
