Throughout your appointment, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the treatment and your dental practitioner will answer any concerns you might have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous methods: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and hassle-free whitening procedure. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
