DAY DENTAL CARE

Updated On Sunday, September 23, 2018 12:18:51 AM

Thanks to ingenious modern day technologies, we are proud to introduce the capability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a brand-new crown in simply one appointment! Here's how it works.

Step 1, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a unique camera created just for this purpose.

Step two, the brand-new software analyzes the whole image and uses the results to compute a variety of outstanding restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are analyzed and refined by the dentist and the final restoration plan is chosen.

Finally your new crown is made by the cerec device right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you want to know more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be happy to help you.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you rapidly.
