Thanks to innovative modern day technologies, we are proud to present the ability to supply you with same day crowns - that's right, a brand-new crown in simply one appointment! Here's how it works.

Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a special camera created just for this purpose.

Second, the brand-new software assesses the whole image and uses the results to determine a number of outstanding restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are evaluated and improved by the dentist and the final restoration plan is selected.

Step 3 your brand-new crown is made by the cerec device right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect issues early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal treatment. As soon as this occurs, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even damage the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be extremely uncomfortable. Signs that the pulp has ended up being infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, pain, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no symptoms are apparent and the person is unaware of any problem till a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
