Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are happening in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to produce crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have needed two visits. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the second appointment, the short-term crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire treatment can be completed in just one visit. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that carves the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term in addition to a second visit.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Topic For Today Is:

Ultrasonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microorganisms and removing plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling often uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits then polished.
