What's So Special About Same Day Crowns?

In a common dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and typically an unpleasant process that can take a number of weeks to finish. However, our practice uses same day crown technology, which enables us to scan, design, and mill lovely tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Imagine coming into our dental office to receive a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, long lasting, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more information!

More About The Single Visit Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the procedure and your dentist will answer any concerns you may have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Ultra Sonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microbes and eliminating plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help keep optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
