Same Day Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to produce crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have needed two visits. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to wear a temporary in addition to a 2nd visit.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be crucial to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly affordable ways instead of through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the positioning of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
