What Are Same Day Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth tougher and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material and works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your appointment, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the procedure and your dentist will address any questions you might have relating to the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the new exclusive software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Today Were Discussing:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are a number of ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of methods: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 various strengths of gel may be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and practical bleaching process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
