Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns implied coming into the dental practitioner's office a minimum of 2 times. The first visit involved getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a second check-up allowed for the short-term crown to be removed and a brand-new permanent crown to be placed on your tooth. We use the latest technology to make dental work more convenient for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown technology to create ceramic onlays and crowns that fit perfectly, in just one check-up with a small camera to create a 3D image of the tooth that has to be repaired. This indicates a physical mold, which is undesirable and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We produce a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This technology can develop the brand-new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is adhered to your tooth using a bonding material, and the brand-new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for more information about same day crowns innovation, and take care of those problems you may have been putting off.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

The Topic For Today Is:

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a badly damaged joint.
