How Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new innovation it allows dentists to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous trips to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and long lasting option for your missing or broken teeth today.

First, your dentist will meet with you to go over the information of the procedure. Throughout the procedure, the dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the new software, the photo serves as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece from ceramic.

Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. Today We Will Be Talking About:

Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease)

Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Since gum disease is normally pain-free, you might not know you have it. Also referred to as periodontal disease, gum disease is caused by plaque, the sticky film of germs that is constantly forming on our teeth.

Here are few warning signs that can indicate an issue:

  • gums that bleed too quickly.

  • red, inflamed, sore gums.

  • gums that have retreated from the teeth.

  • persistent foul breath or bad taste.

  • permanent teeth that are separating or loose.

  • any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.

  • any difference in the fit of partial dentures.

There are lots of aspects that increase the risk of establishing gum disease consisting of smoking cigarettes, pregnancy, and diabetes. It is essential to visit your dentist if you believe you have gum disease because the earlier you treat it the better.

The early stage of gum disease is called gingivitis. If you have gingivitis, your gums might end up being red, swollen and bleed easily. At this stage, the disease is still fixable and can generally be eliminated by a professional cleaning at your dental office, followed by daily flossing and brushing.

Advanced gum disease is called periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis can lead to the loss of bone and tissue that support the teeth and it might become more serious in time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. It typically worsens slowly, however there can be periods of fast progression.

Aggressive periodontitis is a highly damaging kind of gum disease that takes place in patients who are otherwise healthy. Typical features consist of rapid loss of bone and tissue and might occur in some areas of the mouth, or in the entire mouth.

Research between systemic diseases and gum diseases is ongoing. While a link is not conclusive, some studies show that severe gum disease may be related to multiple other health conditions such as stroke or diabetes.

Regular dental examinations and periodontal examinations are essential. The treatment methods that most dental professionals diagnose will rely on the kind of disease and how far the condition has actually advanced. Good dental care in your home is necessary to help keep gum disease from becoming more severe or recurring.
