What Are Same Day Dental Crowns?

The single visit crown is a technology for fixing broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to the dentist's office. It makes your teeth tougher and more gorgeous, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the state-of-the-art ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will go over the information of the treatment and your dental practitioner will answer any questions you may have. Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient bleaching procedure. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
