Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns suggested coming into the dentist's office a minimum of two times. The first visit included getting an impression of your tooth and a temporary crown. Then, a couple of weeks later, a second visit allowed for the short-term crown to be eliminated and a brand-new permanent crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest innovation to make dental work more convenient for you and your busy schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a state-of-the-art same day crown innovation to create ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in just one check-up with a small camera to create a 3D image of the tooth that needs to be repaired. This means a physical mold, which is unpleasant and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We produce a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This technology can develop the new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is adhered to your tooth using a bonding product, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so no one will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for more information about same day crowns technology, and take care of those issues you might have been postponing.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
