Why You Should Select Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are many advantages of using same day crown over traditional crown innovation.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, eliminating substantial possible discomfort.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the traditional method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay stunning for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are constructed of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today Were Discussing:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify problems early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be harmed to the point it needs root canal treatment. Once this occurs, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even deteriorate the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and may be very unpleasant. Signs that the pulp has actually become infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any additional infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is recommended for recovering a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
