Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this new technology it allows dentists to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and durable solution for your missing or broken teeth today.

First, your dental practitioner will consult with you to go over the information of the procedure. Throughout the procedure, the dentist will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the photo works as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Topic Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most clients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and hassle-free whitening process. The appointment is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
