Same Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental treatment that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be beginning to fear the time you will have to invest at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we provide a great time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we include cutting edge technology and treatments to offer our clients with the best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely pleased to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is normally made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and improve its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely visual reasons, such as to cover a significantly tarnished tooth that needs to be restored to its initial, attractive look.

Typically getting a dental crown is a lengthy treatment. The dentist will need to take impressions, offer you with a short-term crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a lab, and after that have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is really milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and remove any need to send out impressions or photos to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, getting rid of the need to come back for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a temporary crown, since our permanent crown will be immediately offered to you.

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
