Same Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be beginning to fear the time you will need to spend at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we offer a terrific time-saving option for you. We provide same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we include state-of-the-art innovations and treatments to provide our patients with the best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who need to get dental crowns, we are very pleased to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is usually made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to enhance a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely visual reasons, such as to cover a significantly tarnished tooth that has to be restored to its initial, appealing look.

Usually getting a dental crown is a prolonged treatment. The dental practitioner will have to take impressions, supply you with a temporary crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a lab, and then have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are developed in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM represents "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take photos which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is in fact milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and eliminate any need to send out impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not have to get a crown, because our long-term crown will be instantly offered to you.

If you want to meet with our dentist to learn more about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our office.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is normally constructed out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants offer a smile that feels and look extremely natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of visits, implants fuse to the jawbone and serve as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability due to the fact that they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfy than traditional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dentist then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not stress the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has multiple advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't have to be taken out all the time.
